Over-sizing a commercial solar installation can lead to wasted production and over capitalisation.

STCs, or Small-scale Technology Certificates are commodities that you obtain when you purchase a renewable energy system (up to 100KW)
The number of STCs that you receive depends on the expected future amount of electricity generated by your system.
STC’s can be sold through the STC market or through an STC clearing house.
Alternatively, many customers opt to have the market price of their STCs itemised as a discount to their commercial solar system, resulting in a lower upfront capital cost
The current Government STC rebate scheme decreases every calendar year and is due to end in 2030.
The short answer is ‘potentially’, subject to both existing electrical and network infrastructure.
It should be noted that systems over 100KW have a different business model attached to the return on investment.
Up-front rebates (STC’s) are replaced with LGC’s instead, meaning a higher up-front initial cost, but an additional ongoing revenue stream instead.
In many cases, a system size above 100KW has very clearly been a better return on your investment for our customers, and YES Group has significant experience in these larger systems.
